Chief Operating Officer
CurrentTechBrite manufactures quality, high-efficient lighting products and retro-fit kits allowing companies to save as much as 50% on their lighting energy costs while improving lighting output. We proudly manufacture our products in Cincinnati, OH. TechBrite serves the electrical contractor sector in industrial and commercial industries. As COO, my primary responsibility is constant improvement. We have a saying at TechBrite – “Don't be Sorry be Better.” We constantly try to improve our operations. From market strategy, to customer engagement, to providing consistent EBIDTA - as COO, every day is an opportunity to get better. For over the last 13 years as a leader at TechBrite, I have found that people make the difference. Process improvement achieves little without a focus on an engaging team. Some of the incremental improvements of note: • Spearhead best practice operating processes to elevate the company's reputation and financial stability resulting in over substantial revenue growth and consistent operating margin since company purchase.• Conducted fit-gap reviews and analyzed manufacturing processes. Directed new processes and software implementation to increase yield, eliminate out-of-stock materials, and track inventory availability.• Built the foundation for moving from ~50% on-time and error-free delivery to achieving 97%+. Instituted key performance indicators (KPIs) and measures of success (MOS) to guarantee sustainable execution.•Pioneered the introduction of more than 1,000 new products. Led prototyping, regulatory and safety approval, and launch processes. Ensure compliance with Underwriters’ Laboratory (UL), The Buy American Act (BAA), and Canadian Standards Association (CSA).In addition to creating a strong team, I believe leaders must develop other key skills to manage efficiently: • Progress over perfection• Data solves the riddle• Strategy drives greatness• Talk to customers - often• Deliver the financials • Be a little weird
