The focus of this role is to work in collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Senior Leadership Team to create and maintain an exceptional culture and workforce in a world class organisation. Responsible for planning and delivering strategic programmes of work that meet the objectives of the organisation and deliver on the Hamilton Plan. This is a key strategic leadership role that leads the majority of internal facing disciplines required to support the rest of the organisation.

Hamilton

I was responsible for leading a $20 million trans-Tasman business unit with 140 employees. I developed and facilitated the execution of ANZ business strategies to deliver sales and profit growth. Examples of this was the strategic acquisition of a business in Australia to increase business capability and provide access to new markets and the divestiture of a non-core business in New Zealand. I built strong relationships with key corporate customers supporting growth initiatives and opportunities to increase customer share of wallet. I was also a member of the executive team for the ANZ regional business involved in numerous governance and leadership activities such as the design and implementation of a region wide Leadership and Culture program.

Hamilton

I was responsible for leading a $13 million New Zealand business unit with 102 employees. I developed and facilitated the execution of business growth strategies that delivered improved sales and profit growth such as replacing a non-core low margin revenue stream with more profitable contract sales. I led a number of team and organisational restructures to respond to changing market conditions and opportunities. I also built and maintained key corporate customer relationships to support retention and growth initiatives.

I was responsible for directing, controlling and administering the finance function of the NZ business with sales revenue of $70 million. I directed the collection of financial and accounting information and facilitated the preparation of budgets, reports, forecasts and financial reports. I was responsible for taxation, credit policy, cash flow and investment policy, costing and expense control, audits, administration of contracts, and insurance arrangements. I was also a company director and a company superannuation policy committee member.

Hamilton

I was responsible for the finance, administration and member recruitment functions of the Federation which included responsibility for internal controls, cash flow, expense control, infrastructural and administrative services - including ICT, insurance, audit and tax arrangements. I facilitated the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reports and presented the Federation's financial results to the National Board and Federation Presidents. During my time I assessed and facilitated the appointment of new Audit and Tax consultants to meet the ongoing needs of the Federation. I was also responsible for membership recruitment and implemented a number of innovative recruitment drives that resulted in significant new memberships.
