Over 25 years' experience in manufacturing operations and plant management, engineering management, project management, technology development, and applying, coaching and training in lean six sigma, process excellence, kaizen engineering, lean transformation and lean manufacturing. While at Thin Film Targets as CEO, VP Engineering and Manufacturing; I successfully designed, developed and implemented an innovative and disruptive replacement technology in 12 months, forged time to market from conceptual design to product launch in18 months, drove business process creation, and led improvement of business processes. Brought in critical investors to support rapid market growth strategies.As Senior Project Director at Xerox and Mitsubishi, I led the design, build, start-up and operations of a $150M print head manufacturing plant in Penang, Malaysia and a $250M production plant in Salem, OR. In both projects I led an international team of technical, operations and quality experts in process design business process improvement, installation of production equipment, plant startup. Assumed the manufacturing plant manager responsibility. The result: an unprecedented 95% 1st pass yield performance at start-up, 32% under budget and completed the project 6 months ahead of schedule.During my time with Xerox, I was a member of the Lean Six Sigma steering committee and was one of only 4 to be certified as a Level 5 Master Black Belt in Design for Lean Six Sigma (out of 140,00 employees). I was assigned as expert trouble shooter and corporate problem solver on critical and chronic issues.
