Located at North Capitol and K St, the Father McKenna Center services approximately one hundred clients daily between the day program for men experiencing homelessness and food pantry. Personal duties are listed below.● Provides operational and logistical support at the day program for men experiencing homelessness in association with AmeriCorps and the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.● Coordinates shipment pickups and drop-offs, trains and directs volunteers, and handles daily operations for food pantry.● Maintains, prepares, and presents statistics for case management, food pantry, and facilities departments.

Worked on the "Sustainability of Horizontal Civil Networks in Rural Areas" REU at Nebraska-Lincoln University. Collaborated with Dr. Richard Wood on "RAPID-Multi-Scale Investigation into the Storm Processes of the 10 August 2020 Midwest Derecho."Developed deep learning AI algorithms with a research team for an NSF-funded REU. Utilized cutting-edge technology to train algorithms to efficiently and effectively survey multiple square miles of damaged forest and identify fallen trees in post-tornado disaster areas. Prepared and presented posters detailing research experience at professional poster sessions.

Performed a plethora of tasks related to Shaver's Creek Environmental Center's trail system. Activities included collecting data on trail usership, designing new trails, refurbishing existing trails, and determining the fate of decrepit, out-of-date trails.
