Having transitioned from an Acuity employee to one of the leading Acuity lighting agents in the U.S., I have been tasked with creating a department focused on identifying and engaging with customers looking to utilize the most advanced lighting and controls in the market. My team's solutions offer the optimum balance of performance and cost, by greatly improving the aesthetic and value of a site, while also significantly reducing their energy usage and cost of ownership. Driven by a combined 40 years of knowledge in the retrofit and multi-site market, we bring unparalleled value to our customer. With each project, we lean heavily upon our large team of design and control experts to offer multiple solutions for our customer's to review, further ensuring that they invest in the solution's best suited for their needs.

I was one of the first Directors within the company to be tasked with identifying and serving the retrofit and renovation market. Overseeing 17 states, I served as the point person to 30 lighting agencies and their many customers as they navigated their energy retrofit opportunities. Additionally, I served on several internal teams to identify gaps within our product offering as it applied to cost-driven, energy retrofits. Through these meetings, we helped bring to market highly versatile, cost driven solutions for commercial interiors, industrial spaces and exterior applications. Alongside two other directors, we were responsible for implementing a number of standard operating procedures and best practices to further Acuity's value add in the market and help differentiate us from our many competitors. Through collaboration, we brought new tools to the company that identified utility rebates across the U.S and simplified the financial analysis tools so that they were more easily utilized by those unfamiliar with the more cumbersome programs on the market.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Overseeing 4 states, I worked alongside our agent's distributor and contractor sales people to help drive stock and flow business with our core clients, as well as identifying and partnership with new ones. Utilizing our detailed daily reports, I was able to help identify product categories that were losing traction and regain critical revenue quickly. Due to my quick promotion, my time in this role was short; however, I was awarded several quarterly sales performance awards and was able to contribute to our region being among the top performing, both in total revenue and growth. My success in this role and those to come was directly connected to my ability to foster and grow key relationships with my agents, customers and coworkers.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Working alongside our sales team, my team ascertained the lighting, control and design needs of our National Account customers to find a balance between performance and cost. Through my leadership, the Pre-Sell team was able to offer expertise in a number of disciplines including, but not limited to: design and photometrics, utility rebate administration throughout the U.S., site analysis and auditing, specification of advanced lighting and controls, as well as financial analysis of the proposed solution. By bringing together these offerings, we were able to quickly differentiate ourselves from the competition and deliver a greater value to our customer by being the single point of contact for all of their energy needs.
