About David Burton

Throughout my career I have worked in organizations and with products that have a positive impact on people’s lives. It is important to me to be purpose-driven while driving results. Whether connecting the dots from product development, to production and supply chain—always focused on the end consumer—my motivation is on how I can help decrease overhead and raise revenue. I have found that product development, supply chain and operations are the elements that keep a business running and successful. I’ve been fortunate to serve on the Executive team at Nutrisystem, Inc. where we successfully turnaround the business through multiple phases. The business doubled and EBITDA grew four-fold that ultimately resulted in a spin-off to publicly held Tivity Health. More recently, we successfully sold the business again to a private equity firm Kainos Capital. Here are some examples of the impact I have made at Nutrisystem, Inc., including:1. Renegotiated multiple Supply Chain 3PL and Logistic agreements yielding multi-millions of dollars in annual savings. 2. Reengineered the supply chain and launched a national Cold Chain Network to be a leading Direct-to-Consumer brand in the food industry and drive Revenue-per-Customer by 25-30%.3. Introduced a Direct-to-Consumer food program for the iconic South Beach Diet Brand4. Launched several new brands including DNA Body Blueprint (DNA based Weight Management) and Wisely Well (Food specially formulated and designed for Seniors).I consider myself best at leading complex supply chains and product teams, pulling together thinkers and doers to address difficult business problems and sifting through all the data to clearly articulate a solution to overcome those problems. I am known as an experienced leader for creating an environment where individuals have confidence in themselves and in those around them to work together to achieve a common goal.My service promise is to be a Servant Leader, providing clear direction and vision to the organization so that each person can live out their strengths and find personal and professional fulfillment in their life.
