Its role is to assist these companies in administrative functions such as commercial, compliance, finance, legal, personnel, and technology.As the Chairman and Managing Director at Busuttil, my responsibilities include:- the commercial department, which is responsible for marketing, business development, and brand activities,- the compliance department, which is responsible for the implementing procedures of the prevention of money laundering and funding of terrorism rules,- the finance department, which is responsible for accounting and taxation, as well as the quarterly management accounts and the annual financial statements prior their statutory audit,- the legal department, which is responsible for applications, agreements, and contracts with government authorities, banks, insurers, employees, partners, and clients, as well as handling court cases by assisting the company’s lawyer,- the personnel department, which is responsible for finding human capital and their retention, as well as the monthly payroll, and- the technology department, which is responsible for information technology and security, as well as the development of applications to implement business logic.

It is run by certified public accountants and auditors.As an Executive Director at Busuttil Assurance, I was responsible for:- the complete turnaround of the business which included the migration of the billing and filing system from on-premise to the cloud, the implementation of Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory, the overhaul of the internal IT structure including the installation of small cell technology WiFi deployment, switching, and routing with the opportunity to work remotely via an IKEv2 VPN, the internal development of a website (including CDN) and business development outreach, the in-house creation of marketing material, and the implementation of the FIAU implementing procedures including the building of an entire program and policies to comply with the PMLFTR,- the training of staff to carry out these administrative functions, and- the transition of all administrative functions and staff from Busuttil Assurance to Busuttil.
