I have a great track record of gaining successful settlements for my clients. I acted for Oyster Bay Marlborough Vineyards Limited, a target company, throughout the aftermath of a highly contested partial takeover offer battle between Delegat’s Wine Estate Limited and Peter Yealands Investments Limited. A raft of regulatory claims followed, and concluded with a complex oppression case brought under the Companies Act. The litigation was settled favourably. Together with John Land, I acted for retailers in significant Commerce Act proceedings brought against credit card issuers and banks. The litigation concerned interchange fees and the alleged anti-competitive effect of Visa and Mastercard scheme rules. The litigation was successfully settled.Outside of work hours I enjoy playing golf and a glass of good wine.
