My practice at HBS primarily focused on defending clients in the litigation of premises liability and transportation actions in both Georgia state courts and federal courts.

In this role, I composed memoranda and draft opinions, recommending to the Court disposition of over 100 appeals in both civil and criminal cases.

In chambers, I composed legal memoranda that analyzed the relevant enumerations of error in a neutral and unbiased manner. I also created oral argument memoranda to distill the factual record, parties’ arguments, and legal analysis to assist Presiding Judge Miller in preparation for oral argument cases.

I conducted legal research and composed legal memoranda on a variety of business and legal ethics issues. Additionally, I assisted in case evaluation on a variety of civil-litigation matters including legal malpractice claims, contractual disputes, and corporate transaction disputes. I also performed document review to efficiently execute the discovery process while helping to create the unique theme of each case.

I created and presented a one-hour seminar entitled “Music Publishing 101” to educate GLA members on copyright basics, the role of music publishers, and the various licenses and rights involved in music publishing. I also conducted client intake interviews to determine the area and scope of the client’s legal issue, made recommendations on the handling of pro bono cases, and assigned cases to volunteer attorneys. Additionally, I composed and published an article for the GLA blog discussing the Right of Publicity and the Lanham Act.

I handled many of the day-to-day management activities for this full service artist management company focusing on career development and the sustainability of recording and touring artists.

I worked closely with the company's GM to help grow the label roster by assisting in the management of Hyena's business affairs. I also coordinated album releases with the label's distributors and assisted in the marketing and promotion of albums by a diverse group of Americana, blues, and jazz artists.
