Bike Share Pittsburgh operates POGOH (formerly Healthy Ride). We use equity as the core value to manage a low-cost transportation mode that builds physical activity into daily lives. With financial support, Pittsburgh can lead the way in filling the transportation gaps for thousands of individuals whose mobility is challenged by current public transit options. I managed a team in the Department of Permits, Licenses and Inspections. I helped lead the transition to a citywide online system for permitting, licensing, and plan review.

I worked in the Department of City Planning. Geographic Information Systems are a big part of the decision making process for urban planning, transportation planning, residential and commercial development at the City of Pittsburgh. I analyzed spatial and quantitative data to support those decisions.

The URA of Pittsburgh is one of the oldest redevelopment organizations in the U.S. Primarily, I provided GIS analysis for the housing division; although, I also interfaced with the departments for economic development, real estate, business development, construction and engineering, and design.

I was the first coordinator in Jamaica for an emergent development program. I worked closely with high level government agencies like the Ministry of Health, international development organizations like the Food and Agriculture Organization of UN (FAO), and local non-profits like Jamaica Aids Support. I managed 25 American volunteers during the difficult reconstruction periods following the 2004-2006 hurricane seasons.
