The cybersecurity threat landscape is constantly changing as new malware, new methods and new risks evolve. As a cybersecurity specialist with 9 years of experience, including 3 years protecting the global networks used by all 450K US Army end users, I am dedicated to keeping my knowledge and skills current. For this reason, I am pursuing my graduate degree in cybersecurity, and you will see in my certifications highlighted below that I constantly look to update and upgrade my skills and knowledge. I have always been good at working with my hands, I restore cars and do woodworking. This dedication to analyzing how things work and putting things back together was only amplified for me when the Army sent me to cybersecurity school. In the Army, it is a natural career progression to move into supervisory roles as your career progresses. However, I really enjoy the hands-on part of cybersecurity where I get to dig into anomalies, discover the root cause and use my resourcefulness and creativity to implement preventive measures. My military background has ensured that I bring a Top Secret (TS/SCI) security clearance with CI Poly. My clearance was last renewed in December of 2023, and you can be assured of my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security. You will find my certifications detailed below on my profile, but a few of the highlights include GCIA, GSLC, GCIH, GSNA and Security+. To keep my skills current and updated, I am also pursuing my CISSP, due later this year and my CISM, due next year.I learn new technical skills quickly and can easily adapt to new environments, systems or methodologies. I am proficient in Python, Bash and PowerShell and I am well-versed in the use of SIEMs, XDR (Extended Detection and Response), and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) technologies.Throughout my career, I've led or been a key part of critical projects, crisis action teams and threat hunting initiatives. My expertise lies in identifying anomalies, defining root causes, and implementing effective countermeasures to ensure our cybersecurity posture is proactive and robust.
