I joined ANGLE to head up the UK Molecular Group and it’s laboratories, exploring the diagnostic capability of CTC’s harvested from a simple blood draw from ANGLE’s Parsortix instrument.I project managed and delivered on several key Molecular work packages and collaborations, as well as shaped the company's IVD Molecular strategy, exploring the utility of various technologies such as Single Cell Sequencing.During my time here, I was also a key contributor to the successful FDA PMA approval of the Parsortix instrument itself, under CFR 21 Part 820.

I joined Primerdesign to facilitate the company on an exciting new venture in IVD product development. Utilizing prior IVD development experience I was integral to the design and implementation (and successful audit) of the new 13485 IVD workflow and supporting QMS, as well as the Project Management and delivery of the companies first CE marked assay - Zika Virus.I hired and trained a new IVD project team, and carried out extensive inter-departmental training, transforming the business from an R&D mindset to a Clinical IVD mindset. I also assisted in B2B ventures and external audits.

I benefited greatly from Qiagens extensive experience in developing regulated IVD products to strict regulatory standards, such as CFR 21 Part 820. I joined a hugely lucrative £4million CDx project for the company, working with well known Pharmaceutical companies to deliver an NRAS genotyping assay to allow the use of the life extending drug, Binimetinib. The project was a 510k submission, and under my guidance and restructuring, we hit every paid milestone on time throughout V&V. My unique resource tracker and GANTT planning tool was appreciated by the senior directors of the company, and was later rolled out across the R&D department as a whole.

Roche LightCyclers were used extensively to develop and optimize multiplex PCR assays for transition to proprietary in-house Point of Care System – the Enigma MiniLab. During my time here I attained a promotion to Technical Lead for the companies main assay, the Respiratory Viral Panel consisting of 8 targets.

My main duties included stock management and ordering – via Goods In Procedure, and cartridge manufacture for the Mini Laboratory system. In addition I worked towards and helped achieve ISO13485.

Responsible for daily testing of food products in both a chemical lab and a microbiology lab using a LIMS system. I was selected to carry out taste panel and subsequently release product for dispatch.

Tasked with stringent sterilization of dental tools and equipment using an autoclave in accordance with health and safety protocols.

As the sole photographer based in Longbridge I was responsible for the management and operation of a photography business venture that provided services for Tesco cars. I was required to independently coordinate activities with and around RAC engineers and an office team. In addition to capturing stills I used specialized photography equipment and software to take and develop 360 degree photographs.

Through a summer work placement during my degree I took the opportunity to assist Dr Hidalgo with a research project looking at cell counts in Drosophila fly brains using a confocal microscope to scan brain sections.I excelled at micro-dissection of Drosophila brains, a skill requiring a high level of manual dexterity and patience.
