I'm a PhD candidate in health data science with a track record of innovation and research within the field. I aspire to become a valuable team member and leader in delivering data driven insights for commercial success.I initially chose to study Physics at The University of Manchester due to my interest for science and maths. After achieving a first class degree here, my masters project gave me the foundations for my entry into doctoral studies with Health Data Research UK and The University of Birmingham.My time studying applications of data science to current healthcare challenges has provided me with many valuable skills. I have developed my understanding of machine learning and statistical models as well as strengthened prior programming skills in Python and SQL.My experience as a data science intern, in the NHSX Analytics Unit, gave me valuable experience in developing research models to generate insightful outputs. I look forward to applying these skills in commercial settings and building on them to become a valued data scientist.
