I lead RSA’s global IT function, working across the group to define and drive technology’s critical role in growing the business, with a firm focus on the development of world-leading technology and digital capability, supporting 12,700 staff across Scandinavia, Canada, and the UK & International, working with a number of leading brands. In Scandinavia, we operate in Sweden as Trygg-Hansa and in Denmark and Norway as Codan. In Canada, our main brands are Johnson, RSA, Canadian Northern Shield, and Western Assurance. In the UK, we operate through our MORE TH>N and RSA brands and in Ireland through our 123.ie and RSA brands. Concurrently leading the IT departments of four separate businesses (GE Commercial Distribution Finance, GE Corporate Finance, GE Asset Finance and GE / Mubadala Joint Venture), I was responsible for driving performance and value of the IT capability, overseeing multi-disciplined teams across a number of country’s including SI providers.Throughout this period, I led major changes to technology, processes and organisational design, which generated multi-million-dollar cost savings, whilst enabling continuous improvement to technology and digital capability, including delivery of first of their kind client B2B projects. Additionally, I was heavily involved in technical and operational due diligence of multiple successful EMEA acquisitions. I was selected for and completed GE’s renowned leadership development programme, including the Executive Training Programme (MDC), offered to top 1% across the global group.
