The Acumen Fellowship program is an intensive leadership development program cultivating a pipeline of tomorrow’s social changemakers. Over the course of a year, Fellows remain in their jobs while participating in five, multi-day immersive seminars and engaging in online content between seminars. Currently operating in Malaysia, Bangladesh, Colombia, East Africa, India, and West Africa, the Fellows Program equips leaders from across the country or region with the knowledge, skills and community to become more effective, collaborative agents of change.

• Researched current issues happening locally or globally and wrote close to 50 articles that was read by 50,000 readers nationwide• Wrote stories and reflections of the challenges and rewarding experiences of being a young teacher.

• Fundraised close to RM30,000 for various initiatives in the school such as subject based classroom, basketball court, learning trip, and mural painting in an effort to boost students interest in school and co-curricular activities• Oversaw and guided 160 Form 3 students in the Form Three assessment which led to an increase of passing rate from 60% to 72% (2015) to 85% (2016) and subsequently to 89% (2017) which was the one of the highest increment for the PT3 exam in school in all 3 years• Managed 3 teachers under the Geography panel which manage to improve Geography grade as a whole in the school consistently for the past 3 years through conducting extra classes and supporting the Geography teachers under my supervision• Guided and coached students in various extra-curricular activities such as English drama, robotics, innovation and video contests and achieved excellent results at national, state and district level• Initiated and co-managed a school wide transformation programme with various external stakeholders to provide support and training for teachers to improve their teaching and learning skills• Mentored and coached one student to be a member of Teach for All Global Student Leaders Advisory Council• Taught Science, English, Chinese language and Geography and saw significant improvement in students’ results
