In this role I provide leadership across several technology groups that create video platforms and services for NBC Direct-to-Consumer brands (Peacock and Fandango at Home), maintaining a 360 view of the portfolio and technology landscape whilst ensuring all teams are adequately staffed, trained and motivated to support the smooth running of all departments. Responsibilities:- Lead the technology group for Vudu.com- Provide leadership to the Core Platform Engineering and Research management group- Work across product & engineering teams, establish best practices and processes for delivery and governance that will support appropriate reporting throughout the organization.- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, identifying opportunities for process improvements, building consensus, and operationalizing.- Define and control appropriate governance to ensure adherence to process without burdening teams or impacting velocity. - Establish appropriate KPIs for monitoring and reporting on portfolio health.- Evangelize appropriate tooling ensuring information on staffing, projects & program are readily available across the organization to support timely decision making.- Liaise with stakeholders around NBC and the global Comcast group to ensure cross-functional alignment and provide assurance around dependencies.- Support the creation and management of department wide objectives, initiatives and goals- Provide additional support acting as a local specialist in team onboarding, recruitment and engagement.- Strive for continuous improvement in our processes and procedures- Identify areas of risk and opportunity- Maintain an accurate view of capacity at all times, ensuring the timely identification of potential issues.- Work with finance to understand key areas of risk and opportunity within both capex and operational budgets, and work with stakeholders across technology to minimize these risks and maximize opportunities.

In 2019 my video player group was moved from Comcast Technology Solutions to the VIPER organization within the Comcast TPX (Technology, Product and Experience) group. Here I continue to manage our PDK video player as well as oversee video player development for the Xfinity stream app on Android.In 2021 we re-organized the player group so that all Javascript video player projects became my responsibility. This includes PDK, Helio (our innersource video engine), and Player Platform JS the video player that powers Xfinity Stream on web and set top boxes.

This site was inherited from another agency with little documentation. Responsibilities: Administration of servers, security audits, development of micro-sites, sweepstakes and promotions which involved everything from graphic production to PHP/MySQL development. Technologies used: CSS, HTML, Flash, Windows 2000, IIS, PHP 4.2.3, MySQL, Brightcove, Akamai, Hitbox, AJAX, Prototype

The year was 1997. I moved to LA to pursue acting + modeling. I needed work and I had previous experience building websites. The internet was still very much in it's infancy. The "personal computer" was still not ubiquitous and you needed a modem hooked up to your telephone line in order to get on the internet. A temp agency placed me in this digital agency startup in Brentwood called Digital Evolution. In quick order I went from building the first animated/interactive banner ads for Microsoft - to pitching web ideas to Fortune 100 companies. Soon after the company was bought by US Interactive and I moved to another new digital agency called Magnet Interactive. There I became a Technical Director and led teams building websites for Infiniti and Quiksilver plus was given the opportunity to build a digital recording studio to create content for a new client - National Lampoon. Magnet was soon acquired by AKQA and I soon moved on to a new startup called LowerMyBills where I served as a JSP developer.
