• My specific roles and responsibilities are in External Examiner appointment management, Thesis Submission management for Research Masters and Medical Doctoral Thesis’s, the operational running of exam sessions and provide support across all functions of the exam department. • In managing of the external examiner appointments, I have full ownership of delivering the processing of expense refunds and examiner fees for all external examiners hired University of Galway to conduct external examinations of exams and thesis’s for the Universities five colleges and nineteen schools. • I have created a detailed and streamlined tracking system for this process to ensure a timely, accurate and efficient turnaround and to ensure a positive and professional experience for external examiners.• Liaise with Facilities to secure venues and on-board exam I am the direct point of contact for the external examiners when submitting their claims and I organize, prioritize and track all external submissions to the department invigilators for three calendar exam sittings. • I am the team lead for the running of the exam sessions operated by University of Galway having just completed the autumn 2022 examination session. In this role, my duties include collating all data relating to sitting students, orchestrating the preparation and use of large examination venues and small venues for students, which required extra provision.• I have full ownership of the Thesis submission procedure for all Research Masters and Medical Doctor’s Thesis’s (MD’s). I manage and maintain the full cycle from first copy submission by the student through to issuing of award letter and transcript. I collate all data from the Schools to calculate grades, results and provisions for the Board. • I have full ownership of the management of the exams appeals process from student appeal submission to issuing of outcome.
