Omron Delta Tau is a leading manufacturer of multi-axis motion controllers and power amplifiers. As Senior PCB Designer, I collaborate with engineers to design the company’s line of products, adhering to specifications, IPC standards, and industry best practices. I am responsible for each phase of PCB design — from schematic capture to parts placement and routing, with special consideration of DFM/DFT (Design for Manufacturing/Design for Test) guidelines. Post PCB layout responsibilities include design rule checks (DRC); generating manufacturing and assembly data (Gerber/ODB++/PPM); creating assembly and fabrication drawings and BOM; and archiving final documentation using Agile Product Life Management (PLM). Associated duties include staying abreast of emerging PCB design trends and processes; CAD library maintenance; and open and continued interface with PCB and assembly manufacturers to ensure smooth completion of design through production.

Video Products Group manufactured professional video/audio transport systems for broadcasters and carriers worldwide. As CAD Manager/Senior PCB Designer, I led the company’s PCB design team and collaborated with engineers through each phase of design — from schematic capture and PCB layout, through final documentation and release. My management responsibilities included project scheduling; leading PCB design team to resolve design issues; CAD library maintenance; document control; and department policies and procedures. Additional duties included ongoing communication with PCB and assembly manufacturers.
