David Cowlard is a filmmaker, photographer, field recordist and educator. His research is focused on exploring how moving image and recorded sound can inform a wider critical engagement with architecture and the built environment. David has extensive experience working across documentary and editorial photography and his skills in identifying and bringing stories to life has provided the grounding to move into broader multi-platform digital production.He has been commissioned by leading architectural and design publications, a wide range of architectural practices and by some of Europe’s major construction companies. His work has been widely published and his short films and audio works have been screened / broadcast internationally. David is currently Programme Leader – Photo Media at Whitecliffe College.
