Oyu Tolgoi is a copper-gold mine being constructed by Rio Tinto in Mongolia in the south Gobi region. It is the largest economic development project ever undertaken in Mongolia.I was a member of the Oyu Tolgoi executive committee, responsible for regional economic development and media & communications, reporting to the CEO.

Based in Ulaanbaatar as Rio Tinto's primary point of contact for Mongolian Government during the construction phase of the Oyu Tolgoi mine.When Rio Tinto took over management of the mine, I joined the Executive team of Oyu Tolgoi LLC.

Energy Resources of Australia is a partly owned subsidiary of Rio Tinto, undertaking uranium mining and exploration in the Northern Territory. In this role, I managed community relations and external relations for Energy Resources of Australia. In the first 4 years of my role I was also responsible for exploration, at a time when the exploration budget increased from $1m pa to $15m pa.
