David is an English Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor who has been working in Italy for over forty years. He currently has his own practice focusing on subsidiaries of international groups operating in Italy. He is an elected Council Member of ICAEW (the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) representing the Europe and Eurasia constituency. He is also President of the Italian Association of International Accountants and is the Contact Member in Italy for ICAEW, an Ambassador of the British Accounting Profession in the land where double entry book-keeping was invented. David obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) degree at Sussex University in 1971 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974. He then transferred to Milan with Deloitte, beginning what became a significant, international professional accounting and advisory experience. David was appointed as Partner in Deloitte in 1984 and retired in 2010. In addition to being a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, he is also a Registered Auditor in Italy. He is an Honorary Councillor (Past President – 2006 to 2010) of the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy and was formerly Vice-President of COBCOE (Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe). Specialties: David has significant professional experience working internationally both with Italian corporations as well as many of the world’s major Multinationals. He currently holds a number of Corporate Governance positions, is actively involved as a Professional in assisting businesses with their bilateral trade and investment activities, has provided litigation support and forensic accounting services to a wide range of international corporations and lectures at Milan’s prestigious Bocconi and Cattolica universities.
