I worked to assist tenants in finding space that will suit their needs. Together with working to assist owners and developers understand the market, tenants needs and keeping their buildings fully occupied.During my time in this role I was involved with over 200 leasing transactions with a total area of over 130,000 sqm. Each year between 2011 and 2013 I qualified for the Colliers International National Awards for Excellence. Whilst predominantly focused on the analysis of the residential market I was also involved in assisting to set the “house view” on the Perth Commercial market. My work on analysing the residential market saw new systems built that let Stockland not only understand their market share but their competitors product offering, pricing and market share. This way of analysing the market was expanded to a national system that I helped to set up. Providing a better understanding of the market size and market share let gave Stockland a better understanding of the market and more accurately predict future lot sales.

I lectured predominantly in the Post Graduate Property courses the Real Estate Market Analysis unit. Lecturing in this unit let me share my knowledge and experience in the industry with other professionals looking to enter or progress their property careers. I believe that I was able to apply real word experience to the theory of analysing the property market and sectors of the market.

I was first employed with Colliers International as Analyst, Commercial Sales from 1993 to 1997. I was then promoted to Manager of the Research division from 1997 to 2005. Then progressed to Associate Director from July 2006 to November 2007.During my time heading the research department he become known as Perth’s leading source of property research and I was the most quoted person in media on Perth’s commercial and inner city apartment market.I worked as the property consultant on many of Perth’s major redevelopment projects including; Belmont Park Redevelopment, The Link, Riverside, Perth Waterfront, East Perth Power Station, Australian Fine China and Leederville Masterplan. I also consulted to a number of developers on major office building developments including 140 William and 239 St Georges Tce.
