Large digital mailroom project using Kofax Ascent Capture, XtrataPro and IBM Content Manager to classifiy and route documents across a range of discrete business areas.My involvement with this project has been ongoing for over a year, and has necessitated involvement in the complete cycle from initial business process analysis through to system development and training of users.Key goals of this project have been to enhance the accuracy and throughput of documents within the business as well as facilitate a search and retrieval system for later use.We are achieving these goals by using a large amount of automatic document classification and extraction of data to determine correct business routing and workflow priorities and, where possible, deskilling the data validation process to enable operators with little document-specific knowledge to be able to process through the capture system.
