An effective, economical and environmentally responsible solution to a sticky problem...In the UK, construction and quarrying work normally results in the creation of mud, and it's a legal requirement to take steps to minimise the transfer of that mud out onto the roads outside of the site. There are various ways to do this, but we think we have the best answer - the patented DriveOn V-Tech system is a waterless, raised grid system that needs no water and no power, but uses vibration and flexing of vehicle tyres to remove the mud. It has around 60% less surface area than conventional rumble strips, so it creates much more vibration and tyre flex, and the mud that is dislodged doesn't sit on the bars, only to get picked up by following wheels, but falls through into the void below.It can't make more mud, freeze up, dry out, break down, or contaminate water courses. It doesn't waste water, use fuel, create emissions. It needs no supervision, or ancillary equipment hires such as pumps, lances, bowsers or generators. And, it reduces the need for expensive road sweepers.It is modular and the sections simply link together so it is easy to install, clean and move around the site if necessary.It has already been used on many major UK projects such as The New Forth Crossing, The A14 widening (Cambridge), The A9 widening (Perth), Hinkley "C" Power Station, HS2, Hornsea 2 cabling, Western Link HVDC cabling, and many, many others.
