At that time AOL was the dominant provider of consumer Internet dial-up connectivity and Adero was tightly partnered with AOL so controlled the content of the AOL content caches.Created the initial system, found content , and content hosting partners, raised $140m over 3 rounds, grew team to 140, filed for a public offering. Caught up in the dot com crash so scaled down the company and sold it to Fidelity.
