Awarded a CBE by King Charles III in the 2024 New Year Honours List for services to the economy, I am Director of the £16.3m Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre (AICC). AICC is being led by Ulster University (UU) in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) with bases at the UU Belfast and Derry/Londonderry campuses and at QUB. The project is funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the Department for the Economy. Previously I was CEO of Software NI, the voice of the £1.7 billion software industry in Northern Ireland and prior to that spent over a decade at Queen's University Belfast's Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) as its Head of Strategic Partnerships.
