It was 1994 in the small town of Lewiston, NY when my dad bought my first Mac and a copy of Adobe Photoshop along with Quark and some other choice apps. It was love at first sight. Well...not exactly. You see, this story begins much further back. My Dad is an immigrant from Croatia and came to this land of opportunity seeking a new dream. Not speaking a word of English, he hustled day and night and made his dream a reality.Running the Niagara University campus photography and print shop during the day and starting a small business servicing the local tourism market in Niagara Falls with marking collateral and photography at night. I grew up with a printing press, plate maker and a full service dark room in my basement. I mean, didn’t everyone!? Learning how to process film, develop and ink negatives, make printing plates and run two-color business cards was something I did before I hit puberty. Later, I would find a continued passion in photography, helping my Dad shoot weddings, a third successful business he started. Since then, those skills have served me well. I have been very fortunate to work with some of the most talented people on some of the coolest projects. From being Tony Scott’s personal graphics designer to designing a Music Video for Celine Dion to shooting Jennifer Aniston and Mark Wahlberg on the movie Rockstar and now leading creative on marketing campaigns for Paramount Pictures, just to highlight a few. At first, I resisted and said I would never follow in my Dad’s footsteps. Today, I am blessed by all the hustle and drive he instilled in me and this thirst for constant and never-ending improvement. The skills I learned then guide me today.I live and breath what I do and have done so since I can remember. This is a love story!
