CurrentDavid M. Curry is a partner in the commercial real estate department. His practice focuses on the representation of large and small developers in sales and acquisitions of hotel, retail, office, industrial, and other real estate, as well as air rights transactions. He represents landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions for industrial, retail, warehouse and office space, as well as lending institutions and borrowers in real estate acquisition and construction financing, both mortgage and mezzanine. Mr. Curry represents owners in construction contract negotiations, as well as borrowers and purchasers in industrial development agency transactions. He also represents buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions, including cooperatives and condominiums.Mr. Curry is an associate member of the Association For a Better Long Island (ABLI), the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG) and Commercial Industrial Brokers society of Long Island (CIBS).Mr. Curry was recognized in LIBN's "Ones to Watch in Construction" in August 2009 and in LIBN's "Ones to Watch in Commercial and Residential Real Estate" in December 2016.In December, 2012, Mr. Curry received the Long Island Business News' "Leadership in Law" Award in recognition of commitment to excellence, compassion and leadership within the legal profession and community.In February 2010, Mr. Curry was selected by The Queens Courier as a "Rising Star" award recipient for his outstanding business leadership in Queens.Mr. Curry received his Juris Doctor degree from St. John's University School of Law in 2003, where he served as a member of the Journal of Legal Commentary. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and the Law in 1995 from Binghamton University, and his M.A. in Teaching in 1997 from Towson University. Mr. Curry is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New York.
