My backyard sandbox was where you would find me most of my childhood. I built a fleet of Tonka trucks that would rival that of many of the contractors in my area. Most were purchased at yard sales as back in the day that was the best way to build your fleet debt free. My buddies and I regularly graded and then re-graded that 12 ft x 12 ft part of the back yard and trenched in thousands of feet of utilities. The roads I built in that sandbox, along with a good number of LEGO creations, ultimately lead me to a degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a career in the Construction Industry that has taken me from the shores of Lake Mead in Nevada to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey. Now the world is my sandbox, and my Tonka trucks are a bit bigger.
