Interested in identifying and seizing opportunities for social enterprise to create wide-scale impact, enabling people to flourish. Wanted to build a new venture from the ground up. Work included:-Leading a team of researchers investigating the challenges and opportunities existing in maize production, trade and marketing in East Africa.-Conceptualizing, designing and implementing the Joseph Initiative Ltd., a grain trading social enterprise that effectively and efficiently links small-holder maize farmers with high value export markets.-Collaborating with IT engineers to design a grassroots supply chain management solution that tripled supply chain sourcing capacity.
