For over nine years, I have been the founder and consulting PT of SmartMovesPT, a digital health tech division born out of my PTC Physical Therapy private practice clinic that provides advisory and clinical consulting services for industry and physical rehabilitation organizations. As a physical therapist, nutritionist/(former RD), author, keynote speaker, health podcaster and clinical PT consultant, I have a unique combination of skills and experiences that enable me to deliver effective and innovative solutions for digital health and rehabilitation challenges.My mission is to teach and share the patient perspective in user design and product development, and to improve health outcomes for others using digital assessment, preventive or pre-disease management, telehealth, digital therapeutics, wearable technologies, and patient-generated outcome data. I have a proven track record of developing and deploying proactive educational services and rehab technologies in various clinical settings, and offering clinical insight and methods to improve the user interface and patient experience. As a stroke survivor, I have a personal and professional motivation to influence change in the current patient care pathways. I am always interested in meeting with innovators in digital medicine at all stages of their careers who share my vision and values, especially as I write my second book about the current stroke care pathway.We saw the world shut down during the pandemic because of fear of loss of health. Broken health care shortcoming were magnified during COVID yet connected care, especially for those with neurological injuries remains fragmented. What are you doing to help make change happen?
