Energy Broker, a third party supplier of electricity and natural gas with a primary focus on the residential markets. We are like the AAA for the energy industry. What I mean by that is that when a customer in our northeast markets chooses us as their energy supplier, everything stays the same except that they pay the incumbent (the old monopoly) less money. Think of it this way, when a member of AAA goes on vacation and they check in with a participating hotel, they are charged a room rate. But when they whip out their AAA card, that room rate drops. The room stays the same, the same person comes in the morning to make the bed and clean the room, if they have a problem with the room, they call the same people. They still pay the hotel, only they pay them less money. It is the same with us. The same person comes to read the meter every month that always came. If there is a problem with something, the customer calls the same people they always called. The customer still receives their bill from the same company they always received it from and they still make the check out to the same company they always made it out to, they just make it out for less money! What could be sweeter than that!The best thing is our reps are local, they live right in your home area, so you know we are not going to do anything to hurt you. No horror stories with our company on the nightly news, just happy customers! They are so happy with us that they regularly refer new customers to us and in the process earn even more discounts on their electric bill. Redeveloping communities one home at a time. Our focus is on the Harmony Twp and Greater Ambridge PA area. This is where we live and we like it here. The community is teetering between an uphill climb and a downhill slide. We decided to make a difference and push it into an uphill climb. Mahatma Gandhi said "Be the change you want to see in the world." That is what we are doing. We are not the typical house flippers seeing how much money we can make on a property by fixing it up on the cheap and then seeing how quickly we can sell it at the most profit possible. We are using what I call the triple BBB concept - Buy it - Blow it up (not really - just tear it down) - Build it new. Homes built 50 or more years ago do not have the floor plans and space people are looking for today. The only real way to keep the community moving in a positive direction is to provide what people are looking for. If we happen to make a little money along the way, that is fine, but it is not our goal. We make plenty of money from our other business ventures.Wounded Warriors Project - It is our goal to build one custom home every year for a disabled vet and give it to them. We are laying the groundwork for this now and it will happen!The Up-Beat Cafe - We plan on building a new restaurant from the ground up in Ambridge area tentatively called The Up-Beat Cafe. This will be a place where people will not only be able to feed their body, but also their mind. Flat screen televisions throughout the cafe will feature uplifting self-development programming with the goal of providing people that are not otherwise privy to this information with the mental tools necessary to build a successful life. The cafe will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with an emphasis on value. It will be a place where people can come for a really good meal in a nice new uplifting facility and not pay an arm and a leg for it.

The Center for Hope program provides an outreach and service to a community that has undergone economic hardship and demographic change in what has been designated a distressed community. The Center provides character education, recreation, academic preparation and employment readiness for the community at large. Most of the people working at the Center are volunteers. We have a very small paid staff. Board members are NOT paid, but donate their time and money to the Center. We have 100% board member participation in monetary donations. My focus on the board was developing and implementing a marketing plan to help grow the school. The school has grown in both number of enrolled students and available career / course options.
