David is the founder of DLM Architects and proud to be one of the few RIBA qualified Chartered Architects in Guernsey. He graduated from Kingston University, London, with a First Class Honours and was awarded runner up in the RIBA Presidents Medal. He then returned to Guernsey to join the early days of Mooarc, working on a range of projects across the Island.David completed a Professional Diploma in Architecture RIBA Part 2 at London Metropolitan University, receiving Distinction and appearing on the shortlist for the prestigious international RIBA Presidents Medal. During his time in London David assisted in the successful submission of several international competitions by DRDH Architects, including the Norwegian Concert Hall and City Library in Bodo.In 2009 David achieved Distinction in Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture RIBA Part 3 whilst working at ORMS designing and delivering a £20m commercial sports centre for Uppingham School.Taking us to the present day and the establishment of DLM Architects. David has continued studies into Biotecture, and constantly strives to push boundaries and challenge tradition. His work is inspired by the search for new mediums with which to work that integrate sustainable architecture and the physical re-use of throw away products. He drives DLM Architects ethos of enhancing our built environment whilst respecting the impact it is having on our planet and our beautiful Island.
