Fantastic Fest Screening Team
Exhibition Graphic Designer
Fantastic Fest Screening Team Member
As a Screening Team member, I view feature films that are submitted to the Alamo Drafthouse's annual genre film festival, Fantastic Fest, and review them according to standardized forms and systems. I work closely with members of the Programming Team to ensure film allocation and communication, understanding that the materials I am working with are considered strictly confidential until such time that they may be selected for the festival.
Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Reporting directly to the festival director, I am responsible for the branding & identity design including, but not limited to logo design, poster art, social media collateral, web banners, t-shirts, lapel pins and other merchandise, illustrations, and on-site banners/photo backdrops.
Designer For National Design Desk
Originally hired as the graphic designer at Austin Business Journal, I worked on all aspects of creating our weekly B2B publication including editorial planning meetings, liaising with the advertising team, creating the weekly dummy, designing the cover story and interior pages, toning photos, as well as creating final PDFs for both print and digital editions. Additional responsibilities included designing web ads, event branding, and on-site event collateral. In 2020, I was promoted to the National Design Desk, multitasking projects to ensure branding and design guidelines were met for three separate weekly Business Journals located in different states and time zones. The position required expert time and project management skills as I communicated remotely with the respective editorial and sales teams to achieve weekly deadlines.
Merchandising Manager
My mission was to fully realize the creative direction of the brand by executing the production of stunning, high-quality, one-of-a-kind products that induced a positive and enthusiastic response from customers while ensuring that the spirit of quality and creativity was embodied in all visual merchandising. Secondary responsibilities included product photography and maintenance of Online store.
Front Desk Agent At Hotel San Jose
As one of the senior agents at an award-winning boutique hotel, I ensured a seamless and enjoyable guest experience from beginning to end by overseeing daily front desk operations including guest relations (in person, over the phone, and via e-mail), concierge knowledge, information management, and efficient check-in, check-out, and billing procedures. Often lauded by guests (via on-site comment cards and online reviews) for my outstanding hospitality skills, I coordinated with several different departments daily to maintain guest standards and problem solve on the spot as needed.
Freelance Graphic Designer
From design and layout to character conceptualization, I excelled as an artist-for-hire by teaming my creative expertise and initiative with outstanding people skills in order to multi task for various clients or adapt to pre-existing work environments.
Senior Graphic Designer
As the senior member of eight-person design team, I worked with editors and marketers on concepts, design, layout, and production of two newly-created, full-color business-to-business publications as well as a cover-to-cover redesign of the company's flagship magazine, SAP Insider. I managed the art team during the department manager's extended leave, interviewed potential new designers, and assisted in the hiring process. I spearheaded the redesign of several monthly newsletters and was involved with branding, logo redesign, and the purchasing of stock photography as needed. I also maintained production schedules and printer deadlines while transitioning to and, subsequently, working full-time from Austin.

Art Director
Initially starting as a graphic designer paired with the in-house creative team's copy writer, I climbed the ranks to art director of one monthly (STUFF) and one bi-weekly (STUFF@Night) arts and lifestyle publication.
