CurrentThe Chief plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the work for the Client Solutions Section. Develop and administer the section’s strategic and operational direction in accordance with agency goals. Manages and supports a complex enterprise distributing computing environment. Establishes and maintains partnerships with customers and vendors to ensure services meet customer needs; develops effective strategies for accomplishing Section objectives. Represents the Branch as the overall project or IT technical manager on enterprise technology projects and ensures the adherence to Department project management standards and tools. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs activities that provide problem solving and decisions to determine the best use of hardware and software resources. Ensures alternative analysis meets business, technical and support requirements for the Department and appropriate configuration standards are followed. Contributes to technology policies involving technical standards, infrastructure design and configuration management. Ensures client test and development environment supports enterprise infrastructure and IT policy including development and documentation of Department standard desktop images, critical security updates and applications, and electronic distribution of all desktop software. Directs market research activities and develops complex pre-release test plans to ensure minimal risk to data assets.
