Packaging SpecialistLabatt Breweries Of Canada Nov 2020 - Sep 2021London, Ontario, CanadaIn this role, I support short and long term operations goals in the Packaging Department. On a day to day basis, I lend my efforts to overcoming production challenges as they arise by coordinating with technical staff to ensure that resources are available to perform reactive maintenance quickly for effective outcomes, and facilitate root cause analysis on down-time events to generate and implement permanent solutions to emergent challenges. In the long term, I support the manager of maintenance operations in the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance protocols in the brewery. I review old plans and develop new high fidelity maintenance plans in accordance with OEM specifications, and technical staff lessons learned in the effort to fully realize the benefits of RCM across the brewery. In this capacity I am also trained and act in the Group Manager role, managing line operations on shift as needed. -
Brewery TraineeLabatt Breweries Of Canada Sep 2020 - Nov 2020Edmonton, Alberta, CanadaAs part of the Brewery Trainee Program, I undertook an immersive training program for 2 months in the Brewery Of Champions where I learned from a wide variety of professionals in technical roles throughout the facility. This training included a LSS Yellow Belt and introduction to HACCP food safety protocols. While training, I executed a project to define a KPI in the Filtration block of the brewery, and created the tools and means for its measurement and automated tracking. By interviewing the filter team to understand its operation and associated processes, I was able to harness data which was latent in existing records to measure and track downtime in a meaningful and informative manner which was not previously available. This created visibility into the system, enabling the measurement of performance changes resulting from process upgrades and allowing for more accurate cost/benefit evaluations of those investments. -
