As a social entrepreneur, I am committed to changing the world through business and helping others learn how to do the same.Having owned and operated several socially responsible businesses throughout my career, I know that there are many opportunities for business owners to make a real difference on many levels. My position as CEO of La Terza Coffee Roasterie allows me to live out the principles of social enterprise each day. At La Terza, we take pride in sourcing our coffee from very small farms, which enables us to buy the highest quality coffees with great cupping notes, while ensuring that farmers are paid true living wages. We provide the freshest coffee possible direct to consumers through our online subscription service and to wholesale restaurant customers who want to offer our exceptional and socially responsible coffee to their patrons. Our passion for education ranges from holding tasting tours in our facility in Cincinnati, Ohio to partnering with our wholesale customers to help them set up and train employees in the art of operating a full service, premium coffee bar. I am also very active in the social enterprise community as a speaker, writer, and teacher. My goal is to educate businesses on how they can incorporate social goals and point consumers to those businesses so that they can buy products and services that they know have ties to social responsibility.
