I am incredibly passionate about the conservation and management of our environment and native wildlife. I have always been interested in nature and have built up a wealth of knowledge through my years of wildlife watching and working in the environmental field. Being a reserve warden at WWT Washington, I have developed in depth practical and theoretical skills in the management of habitats for wildlife, pest control, visitor engagement and skills in public speaking and presentation delivery.My new role finds me on the queen of the Hebrides, Islay. The Oa
Currently working as the warden of The Oa, assisting with the site management of this 2,100 hectare nature reserve and working farm on the Isle of Islay. The reserve is home to the Red-billed Chough, our priority species and the fundamental reason behind the purchase of the reserve. Chough here are heavily monitored and foraging habitat provided through.
