Leading the Sales team for the North America Insurance vertical following Nearmap's acquisition of Betterview

David co-founded and lead Betterview, a technology company that provides property insight and workflow tools for Insurance companies to improve the customer experience by accelerating decisions and improving risk at every point of the lifecycle. Betterview harnessed vast data sources and leveraged AI to interpret raw data and score the risk of future loss. Betterview was successfully acquired by ThomaBravo's Nearmap in December 2023.

Joined Constant Contact through the acquisition of Nutshell Mail. Responsible for establishing and growing Constant Contact's first office in California. Built and lead the team that developed SaaS social media marketing tools and professional services for small businesses.

Founded Nutshell Mail with Mark Schmulen in June 2007 and was responsible for technology. Also served on the Board of Directors and played a role in all strategic decision making. Saw the company through two rounds of fundraising, entry into the fbFund REV 2009 incubator program, and the sale of the company to Constant Contact.

Contributed to various information technology and strategy projects for major oil & gas companies. Wrote code in Germany at SAP and worked with operators in oil & gas fields in Louisiana and Equatorial Guinea. Clients included Shell, ConocoPhillips, and Marathon Oil.
