David Purinton is currently the PMO Director for Rackspace Cloud. He previously served as the Chief of Staff for Rackspace Solutions and Services SVP (Managed Public Cloud, Data Services, Applications, Security Services, Private Cloud, and IoT), and prior to that he was the Director of Operations for Managed Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, and Google). He is a member of the Global Rackspace Solutions and Services Leadership team, and works directly with key stakeholders and cross-functional leaders in Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Support, Product, etc. Mr. Purinton's role includes Business Planning, Strategic Insight, Operational Reporting, Business Process Improvement, and Global Alignment.

David Purinton was a Manager in Deloitte’s Strategy and Operations Service Area. His expertise included: Business process improvement, privatization and realignment of government activities (Base Realignment and Closure- BRAC), leadership, change management, strategic planning, organizational assessment, process mapping, and data mining. In his last project, David managed a team of 7+ FTEs providing Transformation, Program Management, Integration and Implementation Support to his Air Force client at Joint Base San Antonio.

• Provided support to the HQ AETC/A5/8 San Antonio Joint Program Office (SAJPO) as the SAJPO lead for Joint Base San Antonio integration activities.• Provided strategic integration and analysis support to a DoD real estate evaluation initiative, encompassing all branches of the military (nationally and internationally), through the Office of the Secretary of Defense. • Delivered Change Management support to Tesoro Petroleum’s Mid-Continent Crude Supply Process Improvement Project. Including interviews, focus groups, and best practices support. • Provided strategic integration and performance management optimization support to the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) in Pensacola, FL.• Provided advisory and strategic planning support to Valero Energy Corporation by performing an organizational assessment and study of the Accounting and Financial organizations, including benchmarking and best practices.• Developed Business Plan and negotiated the Reseller Agreement between BearingPoint and EDS PLM Solutions for a Project Management Tool, Teamcenter Project.• Assisted the U.S. Air Force Centennial of Flight Office with strategic planning and coordination of the Air Force’s participation in the Centennial of Flights events in 2003.• Performed Change Management and applied Business Performance Improvement Methodology to initiate and assist with changes at Randolph Air Force Base (RAFB). US Peace Corps Volunteer - Uruguay, South America. Provided small business development assistance, identified long-term problems, and implemented practical solutions in a rural community in Uruguay.• Taught basic business management practices in agribusiness and in rural retail establishments as the sole Peace Corps volunteer in a small village in South America.• Founded the first library in the area with locally generated resources, at no cost to the development agency or to the host government.• Analyzed nutritional problems of the local population and implemented organic gardening program that resulted in significant improvements in overall health.• Successfully promoted basic life-style changes among the village and surrounding community.
