As part of the Global Financial Services organization, I contributed to extending card spending capabilities internationally, allowing enterprise customers to manage their spend in local currencies. I met a tight project deadline of 6 months by scoping, planning, and delegating work between 3 engineers while making significant individual contributions.Subsequently, I led 4 engineers over a 6 month period involving 12 teams that simplified accounting and eliminated FX fees by enabling enterprise customers to reimburse their international employees from a local bank account. The project was successful and hit key milestones while maximizing growth opportunities for the engineers involved.Appointed as the reliability lead, I spearheaded efforts to enhance our system's dependability, introducing a comprehensive SLO Dashboard that monitors all critical endpoints and system health, significantly improving our response to reliability issues. Additionally, I simplified the queries powering our SLA metrics by 90%, focusing on data that directly reflected the customer experience, leading to a more reliable measurement of our Bill Pay and Repayment services.I accelerated team members' proficiency in backend systems and group productivity by updating team documentation, iterating on internal tools, leading knowledge transfer sessions, and championing an operational review culture. I led Kotlin development workshops as we transitioned from Elixir, and actively mentored new engineers through personalized onboarding and pair programming.

Subsequently, I detailed these goals into engineer-specific tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.I revamped the interview process in collaboration with CTO and Head of Engineering to better assess senior engineers. I also guided junior engineers with direct mentorship, code reviews, and joint coding sessions, and helped create career paths to support their growth and excellence.I enhancing team efficiency by implementing Asana for project management. Additionally, by introducing Docker, I cut down the engineer onboarding process from a week to a single day, aligning with our goal of enabling new hires to contribute to production within their first two days.

Over the summer, I interned as a software engineer at ResMed in Sydney, Australia, where I worked on different projects as part of a six person team. Over the course of ten weeks, I helped increase the productivity of the team by automating repetitive tasks and displaying related information in a central location. In one of my projects, I developed a Python application to help users quickly determine whether a remote system was able to respond to a connection request. The second project I worked on involved collecting live data from remote systems, aggregating them, and displaying the data with a dashboard. During this project, I learned C#, Python, and the Django framework, created database schemas and documentation, and applied my knowledge in database design, agile software development, and web development to create a intuitive management system for remote devices.
