Overseeing the development of the flight control product plans, R&D programs, and operational initiatives that deliver growth in revenue and profitability. Collaborating closely with unit leaders in; operations, engineering, sales and BD&S to develop the flight control product line strategies. Aiding the operating unit in aligning resources required to support future business and serving as a voice between the customers, the operating unit and engineering for requirement definitions and SOW capture. Driving internal strategies for profitability and program capture with engineering and operations. Serving as the chief technical adviser on product and business development matters.

Responsible for leading a cross functional design team for the Embraer KC-390 cockpit controls project. Starting with the proposal team and migrating the design from the initial project winning phase to the design engineering and qualification phase. Responsible for meeting budget, schedules, customer specifications, proof of concept prototypes, final design and qualification. Design engineer for the KC-390 auto throttle.

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of new product development and project estimation. Responsible for the preliminary CAD designs for the estimation of mechanical packaging and electrical layouts. Creation of prototypes for use by the sales team in advance of a win. Estimate the non-recurring engineering time for completion of the design. Actively set design to cost parameters, establish program schedules and production lead times. Create bills of materials, part estimates and tooling estimates. Quote testing, qualification and design verification. Write the technical proposals with explanations of the designs and compliance matrices for the statements of work and technical designs. Patents

Member of the Advanced Product Development Group responsible for design, product integration and costing. Designation of processes for rapid prototyping and production including the development of tooling and project schedules to meet customer fast turn around lead times. Responsible for meeting data requirements and design to cost. Projects have included a side stick controller for Eads Casa for the in-flight gimbaled boom controller with variable force feedback and three successive throttle quadrants for Sikorsky Helicopters.

Worked to bring a new 3D scanner to market as the first product for NextEngine. Worked on all aspects of the design and have received patents. Aided design manufacturability and prototyping for the product and assisted in moving the design from the computer and lab to the physical product.

Worked as an engineer with the ability to tackle products from napkin sketches to finished and prototyped designs. Experience in all aspects of manufacturing and design from CNC programming to mold production and final product finishing.

Worked as an associate engineer designing filling and manufacturing machines for the biomedical industry.
