Most of David's experience is in supply chain, sales and operations planning, SAP, demand planning, AspenTech, ERP development, production forecasting, inventory and capacity balancing, data analysis, programming, speaking with data, presentations with data, leading business and operations discussions, operations research, and training. He has held leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies and served for over twenty years on active duty in the military. As an experienced planning process leader, he leads from within the company’s business unit, developing specific operational and strategic forecast models that drive down supply chain costs and optimize the manufacturing and delivery networks. Leveraging his programming, engineering, and military leadership background he leads teams that get logistics spend under control, and achieve manufacturing capacity and capabilities aligned with the regional needs of the customers and strategic goals of the company.As a strategic analyst he develops models with macro economic indicators to predict future demand. He also models scenarios that minimize manufacturing, warehouse, and freight costs to achieve EBIT goals. David has a multi-year track record of leading successful planning processes for large international organizations. David is also a leader in safety with extensive knowledge and experience. As a command safety officer afloat he earned the Navy's Middle Pacific safety award two consecutive years. He also deployed for operations in the Bosnian conflict and the first Gulf War. David is a graduate from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, where he earned a BS in Naval Architecture and competed on the varsity 150 lbs football team and on the laser and offshore sailing teams. As an officer in the Navy, David served as a surface warfare officer and as commanding officer of the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a published author of operations research modeling techniques.
