And as a Team Expert addressing members' study course content questions, I help them be more successful in applying required knowledge on practice and Exam questions, including those on specific building and accessibility codes used in the interior design industry. And while my daughter and two adorable grandkids: Remi and Roam, live near Crater Lake N.P outside of Medford, OR, I currently live and work from the Southern Tier region of New York state, with my NCIDQ certificate-holding artist wife and Bernese Mountain Dog: Gunnar!

PresidentInterior Design Coalition Of Arizona (Idca) 2008 - 2010ArizonaThe Interior Design Coalition of Arizona (IDCA) had the sole mission of protecting the public's health, safety and welfare in Arizona by working to enact meaningful interior design regulations. An independent, non-profit coalition, IDCA ventured to speak as the single legislative voice of the interior design profession in Arizona, regardless of the individual's business association or professional affiliation, working to help the profession become recognized as an essential component of the built environment design team. Working to establish state-wide criteria for the level of competency interior design professionals must possess, including education, experience and examination, IDCA endeavored to raise consumer awareness of interior design responsibilities while safeguarding the public. Notwithstanding independence from or concurrent membership in professional organizations including ASID, CSI, IIDA and/or NKBA, Coalition members strongly believed in the promotion of professionalism and standards for all interior designers in Arizona through legislation.Served (before returning to Massachusetts) as President during a transition in the focus of the Coalition, helping to engage new legal representation, personally working on re-drafting legislative language that formed the majority of a Interior Design Bill introduction, helped to identify new coalition leadership within the community, and workedto re-introduce IDCA to the Phoenix and Tucson design communities.
