I am a dedicated Science and Business student at the University of Waterloo, with a passion for interpersonal connections and an unwavering positive attitude.While employed as a Food Expeditor and Bar Back at Cactus Club Cafe Sherway, I helped coordinate the flow of orders between the kitchen and dining area of the restaurant, ensuring timely and accurate service within a fast-pace environment. I frequently took on leadership responsibilities in guiding junior staff and my colleagues within high-pressure situations. As a bar Porter, my skills played towards my favour in maintaining cleanliness, organization and efficiency for the bar team. This position also helped me sharpen my time management skills in a high pressure environment.While my attention to detail certainly assisted me within my long-term job, my greatest skills were displayed when presenting effective presentations to my expeditor team before a busy night of service. I not only excel in public speaking, but I am able to concisely convey important information with an upbeat attitude, which has proven to be effective in empowering coworkers and colleagues.In my free time, I like to sharpen my skills on the golf course, and spend quality time with friends and family. In the future, I hope to gain valuable skills and experience from different co-op opportunities in order to sharpen my focus, and find a specific field which I am passionate about.
