30+ years of progressively responsible nonprofit management including more than 20 years at the senior executive level. Experienced in Board relations (both from a nonprofit staff perspective and Board of Director perspective as I have served as a Board Chair of a community based nonprofit as well). Continuing education in executive leadership through AMA, the program on negotiation through Harvard/MIT/Tufts, acquisition reform through NCMA, performance measurement for nonprofits through Harvard University, and employee engagement through CA EDD (to name a few). I have strong strategic planning skills and have led strategic (and tactical) planning sessions for organizations in California, Hawaii, and Arizona. I have also led strategic planning discussions for the Craigslist Foundation and also at the Pacific Rim Diversity and Disability Conference held annually in Honolulu, HI. Since taking the CEO role at the Pomeroy Center in 2016, we have expanded our services into residential, and we are currently expanding our youth services into daycare to augment our after-school program. Reserves have increased by 140% in during my tenure, wages and benefits for staff have increased, while at the same time, we have been engaged in a significant facility upgrade and renovation capital spending plan.
