David Dunn is the Deputy CISO at Duff & Phelps, where he manages all of security operations, security architecture, incident response and engineering. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps as part of their acquisition of Kroll, David was Kroll’s Deputy CISO. While working at Kroll David was also the CISO of sister company, HireRight, one of the world’s largest background screening companies. David has extensive experience building and optimizing security operations teams as well as data center migration and cloud infrastructure security. Prior to Kroll, David was director of the global incident response, threat intelligence and threat research teams for FIS Global.David was a full time police detective with the Seattle Police Department for thirteen years and he spent an additional 6 years as a part time detective and adviser on cyber security cases. He has coordinated multiple international cases with successful arrests overseas and the take-down of a major credit card fraud forum and associated stolen credential store as well as the incident and arrest of one of the world’s largest vendors of stolen financial information.
