I wasn't born into comfort.I struggled to complete my studies because I started working part-time at the age of 15, and then full-time, even while studying.I spent 15 years in the hospitality industry, working for 29 different facilities, each distinct in name and type of service provided. I sought different positions to grow personally and to offer more to my future employers.I then decided to return to the IT sector (from which I had never completely disconnected) by once again overturning my life and starting "from scratch"; the 15 years spent interacting with people were not wasted: they greatly aided me in selling services, in relationships with people, and in organizing resources. Moreover, I find it quite easy to read between the lines when meeting people, or when visiting clients and analyzing their business models and the activities they typically carry out in practice. I try to translate the solutions I can envision into software, to improve my clients' operations as quickly and economically as possible.I have a rather prosperous niche market, since small and medium-sized businesses often cannot use off-the-shelf software due to their low potential for operational standardization, and they do not have budgets of hundreds of thousands of euros to develop customized products from ready-made solutions by software giants (e.g., Zucchetti, Teamsystem, and others big boys). In these situations, I step in, able to create tailor-made software at reasonable prices. I often rely on a partner who has a training institution, so as to offer my clients the opportunity to benefit from grants (whether regional, national, or European) to give a boost to the financial aspect.I am versatile, multifaceted, humble, tend to learn quickly, and if I feel unable to do something, I openly say so. Work is complex and one cannot expect to do everything; instead, it is important to assess what needs to be done and choose the most suitable people, and I can do this comfortably when necessary.I have a hobby of tilting at windmills in the fields of politics, sociology, science, and anything that is detrimental to the mood.The glass is half full, if there is one.
