About Davide Campanella

July, 2010, I took a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering focused on Industrial Production at University of Palermo, writing a thesis on "Design and Development of a Remote Control System for CNC milling machine in Friction Stir Welding Process".January, 2011, I started my PhD research at the same University in collaboration with the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.March 2013, I took the doctorate in cotulle between University of Palermo (Italy) and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany).Several publications on the Friction Stir Welding, Linear Friction Welding, Accumulative Roll Bonding and Friction Stir Incremental Forming (side project) Processes.Further details about my experiences, related both to work and study activities, can be found in the following sections of my Linkedin profile.

Dynamic sensors (such as accelerometers or torsiotachimeters), force sensors (as dynamometers), and even temperature sensors (e.g. thermocouples) Will be used. The choise of the sensors Will be evaluated depending on their suitability for the process under investigation. The measurement system Will be integrated with the software developed to enable the proposed approach and then it Will be tested for different solid state processes (such as Friction Stir Extrusion-forming process-or Linear Friction Welding-welding process-)
