Thanks to the Erasmus+ scholarship, I had the opportunity to work in Denmark for my final project. With the use of GenomeDK high-performance computing, a genetically explicit meiotic drive model was developed, deployed, and analyzed. The workflow was organized in a structured pipeline, from the simulation ouptuts to ordered datasets. Finally, different statistical analyses were performed to assess the validity of the model, with the use of Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, seaborn and other Python libraries.A special thanks to both my external supervisor Prof. Kasper Munch and internal supervisor Prof. Daniela Billi for the support and guidance provided.

I chose bioinformatics as the field of choice for my final project.Title: “Evaluation of the potential miRNA sponge-effect of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines in human”An evaluation of possible RNA-RNA interaction was made between the mRNA contained in COVID-19 vaccines and the human miRNA sequences. Using Python and the Pandas library, 2656 miRNA sequences were fetched from miRBase. With RNAhybrid in Linux, the most stable potential RNA-RNA interactions were selected.
